GegoK12 has 38 modules. Twenty-six are in the free, MIT-licensed core — students, admissions, attendance, homework, library, staff, notices and parent communication. Every module and every price is listed below, and schools can request regional pricing where the list price does not fit their country.

All 38 modules, grouped by what they do
Free means the module is in the open source core at no cost. Pro shows the one-off price. Where a module has its own page, the name links to it and the URL path is shown underneath.

What a Pro licence includes
The same terms apply to every module in the table.
Buy once, for one domain
The licence does not expire and is not renewed annually. It is locked to a single domain, so a school buys once for its own installation. Running a staging or test site as well? Ask our team for a licence for it.
Updates and bug fixes included
Five years of free updates and bug fixes from the purchase date. After that the module keeps working — what ends is the free maintenance, not the licence. If you want to move to the latest version later, an updated licence is available at a discounted price.
Your developers get Git access
Pro modules ship as readable source, not obfuscated or encrypted builds, and your development team is given Git access. You can audit it, extend it and keep running it whatever happens to us.
Buying for a group of schools, or white-labelling GegoK12 for your own clients? Contact our team about bulk licensing and white-label terms.
Two things follow from that, and they are the reason schools choose this over a subscription. First, cost: a school of 500 students paying $2 per student per year spends more in the first year than every GegoK12 Pro module costs in total, and pays it again every year after. Second, control: almost no commercial school ERP hands over the source code of the paid part. The free core is MIT licensed and the Pro modules come with their code, so at no point is the school running something it cannot read.
Pro modules work as add-on plugins. New modules are added over time and existing ones are extended — the modules already installed are not disturbed by either.
Price parity by country
The 26 modules in the free core have no regional price, because they have no price. Any school anywhere runs them at no cost under the MIT licence. Price parity applies only to the 12 Pro modules.
The prices in the table above are the global list price in US dollars. Across much of Asia, Africa and Latin America, a school's entire annual software budget is smaller than that. If the list price is out of proportion to what schools in your country can spend, tell us where the school is and we will quote against what is realistic there.
Schools, not buyers
Eligibility follows where the school actually operates and teaches, not where the person paying happens to be. There is no published country list — tell us where the school is and we will tell you what applies.
The price, and nothing else
Identical software and identical licence: lifetime, one domain, five years of free updates and bug fixes, full source code with Git access for your developers. No feature is held back and no module is withheld.
Tell us four things
Your country, the school's name, the domain you will run it on, and which modules you need. That is enough for us to come back with a firm quote.
Regional pricing covers the Pro module licences only. Managed hosting and support are the same price everywhere, because the servers are in the United States and cost us the same wherever the school is. Self-hosting avoids that entirely — the free core and every Pro module run on your own server.
Buying for a group of schools, a district or a trust, or reselling GegoK12 in your own market? Partner programme and bulk licensing are handled separately.
Modules are code you can read and change
GegoK12 is a Laravel application and each module is a self-contained part of the codebase, with its own routes, migrations, models and views. Turn one off for a school that does not need it, change how one behaves, or write your own against the same structure. The MIT licence covers the free core: modify it, rebrand it and resell it without publishing your changes and without paying a royalty.
Pro modules are commercial rather than MIT, but they are not a black box. Each is supplied as source and the buying team is given Git access to it, so a Pro module can be read, audited and extended exactly like the free core. The licence is lifetime and locked to one domain, with five years of updates and bug fixes. Building on GegoK12 for your own clients? Talk to our team about bulk licensing and white labelling.
Show a school only what it uses
A primary school with no buses does not need transport in the menu. Modules can be enabled per school from the superadmin settings.
Change one without breaking the rest
Grade schemes, report card formats, fee structures and academic years are configuration, so most board-specific requirements are a settings change rather than a fork.
Or have us build it
Board-specific reporting, a local payment gateway, an integration with a system the school already runs. Contribute it back, keep it private, or commission it.
